Hairy Back Baby – 2023
Hairy Back Baby is an experimentation of live poetry and electric harp with real-time audio effects. The piece was fully improvised over the duration of a day, recording over three hours of music, which was later edited to a shortened version. Working in collaboration with Leeds local poet, Angelica Krikler, we travelled to local sites of beauty in Northern England to produce a visual improvisation. Angelica, the poet of Hairy Back Baby, performs in the visual piece, using her body to explore ideas around femininity, movement and space.
