ABOUT
Pip (PIPIDAEYA) is a Suffolk based electric harpist interested in the musical applications of speech and everyday sounds. Using the electric harp Pip recreates and warps speech samples in live electronics and sound design. Pip is also interested in the creative possibilities of improvisation as a form of expression, particularly as a means to break down barriers and allow for explorative play. The sound installation project – A Look At Sound 2022 – explored similar themes; emphasising questions of how sonic (and visual) environments shape audience behaviour.
